As a senior care professional, it is important to have a competitive edge in order to further your career and, of course, to provide the best possible care for patients. The following organizations and programs help senior care professionals find certification and continuing education opportunities (such as where to find an ACLS provider course and how to do well on ACLS exams), network within the industry, and keep up to date on healthcare policy and news.

1. Assisted Living Federation of America

The Assisted Living Federation of America aims to “exemplify the principles of choice, dignity, and independence for seniors,” by promoting public policy and providing education and networking opportunities to senior care professionals. The website features articles on best practices and industry news. The organization also hosts multiple workshops and conferences for continuing education.

2. American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging
