What is the format and passing score of the practice exam?

Just like the actual certification exam, the practice exams are made up of 50 multiple choice questions. You will have 90 minutes to complete the exam. The questions are based on the learning objectives and case studies of our online content. Your test is graded instantly. You must score at least 84 percent to pass. If you don't pass the exam, you will have the opportunity to review the questions you answered incorrectly and reset and retake your exam.

Does this practice exam follow the 2010 American Heart Association (AHA) Guidelines for CPR and ECC?

Yes. The practice exam reflects the 2010 Guidelines. The 2010 AHA Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) contain the expert recommendations for application of the ILCOR International Consensus on CPR and ECC Science with Treatment Recommendations.
